The chairman of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, has reacted after the meeting of the new Minister of Justice, Besfort Lamallari, with the head of the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK), Altin Dumani.

Bardhi considers this a propaganda meeting, while adding that SPAK has no connection to the government's priorities.

"The relationship of the Head of the Special Prosecution Office SPAK with segments of the Executive, including the Minister of Justice, should be guided only by the law. Such institutional relationships should not occur for the propaganda needs of the Executive, because SPAK cannot be a propaganda mechanism of the Government, but the key institution that fights government corruption and organized crime."

Nowhere, but nowhere is it predicted that the Government's priorities are shared with the head of SPAK, much less that the latter listens to the priorities of the Government's program. What connection does SPAK have with the priorities of Edi Rama's corrupt Government, when in fact its priority should be the fight against government corruption?

"SPAK is not an institution under the executive branch and should not be presented in public as such, because the independence of the judicial system must also appear to exist. This pose in the office of the Minister of Justice and the announcement by the Minister of Justice that he has shared the priorities of the government program is an unprecedented act of propaganda ," writes Bardhi.

This reaction comes after earlier today, Minister of Justice Besfort Lamallari hosted a meeting with the head of the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK), Altin Dumani.

Lamallari said that he discussed with Dumani his priorities in this task within the framework of negotiations with the EU.
