The Democratic Party has postponed until November 12 the deadline for self-candidacy and candidacy for Primary in all its branches.

The branches of the Democratic Party of Albania have requested the postponement of the deadline due to insufficient time for organizing meetings at each organizational level and receiving proposals or self-proposals from the party structure in the territory they cover.

For this reason, after reviewing the documentation from KOKOE, the Commission for the Organization and Control of Electoral Operations decided to postpone the deadline for self-candidacy and candidacy for the Primary in all DP branches, until November 12, 2022.

The 16 branches of Tirana Municipality are excluded from this decision. The announcement states that the Heads of Branches must take measures to follow up on this decision.

Following Instructions 12 dated 27.10.2022 and 13 dated 31.10.2022 "On the deadlines and procedures for receiving proposals for PDSH candidates in the Primaries for the 2023 local elections,
at the meeting dated 7.11.2022, KOKOE examined the documentation received from the branches of DPSH. Almost all PDSH branches have requested for a deadline extension due to insufficient time for organizing meetings at each organizational level and receiving proposals or self-proposals from the party structure in the territory they cover.

Considering this process very important, in order to listen to the opinions and receive proposals from the entire membership of the PDSH,
