The first candidacy for the primaries of the Democratic Party for the Municipality of Korça has been announced, where the candidate will be chosen for the local elections held on May 14 of the coming year.

It is about gynecologist Gjergji Gjata, who filled out the form today and sent it to the central PD. Doctor Gjergji Gjata is a person who enjoys respect both in the DP of Korça, but also in the community, as he was nominated as a possible candidate of the DP for the Municipality of Korça in 2018, but in the local elections of 2019. , DP boycotted them.

The deadline for application in the primaries of the DP of Korça ends tomorrow at 18:00.

Sources indicate that the name of the current rector of the University of Korça, Dhimitër Bello, has also been proposed in many sections of this branch. Also, the names of two former deputies Ledian Aliolli and Eleina Qiriçi, as well as the name of Irvin Bodes, have been mentioned as candidates in the primaries.

However, none of the 4 names above have officially confirmed it. Other names have been proposed by the groups. Candidates who will agree to enter the competition must fill out the candidacy form, while those who will not agree to enter the competition, will fill out a refusal form as opposed to the PD procedure.
