Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted with strong doses of irony to the process taking place at the Special Court in The Hague, where some of the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army are being tried.
Through a post on social media, Rama shared a video from a court session showing a witness confessing to his involvement in theft during the war.
In the video description, Rama wrote alongside the video: "Oh my god, international justice for crimes against humanity..."
In the published footage, witness Agim Idrizi recounts episodes that are not directly related to war crimes or the main charges against the defendants in The Hague, but describes events of an ordinary nature, such as the theft of wood or the disappearance of livestock.
"They are working on two wooden horses, I stole them in the mountains. I broke the saw, I told you once, and I loaded those trees, they were horses without a hammer. They didn't love me like Agim. They didn't dress me, they have a cup. They planted the land with corn. They stole cows in the Municipality of Kaçanik, they lost the cows without a trace. They also stole a cow's calf from me ," the witness says.
