Completely detached from politics, the writer Namik Dokle has rarely shown the moment when he decided to leave his active life in politics and dedicate himself to writing and books.

In an interview on the show "Kjo Javë", Dokle, among other things, talked about his latest book, "Covid 1984". He said that from the moment he decided to deal with literature, politics is not in his plans, he even said that "I have left and I will not enter again".

Politics, he said, is tense, while literature is quite different, beautiful. He said that for the moment he will not write about politics, he even said that when that moment comes he will publish his diary with 4 thousand pages, written during the time when he was involved in politics.

"I didn't have any intention of becoming a politician, but in that period of great changes, many people didn't think of becoming a politician, but many doctors, engineers came in... and that whip of politics took me too.

I thought about the first novel for years and I sat down to write it only when I finished politics. When I decided that I will not run again, I told my friends, the leaders of the parliamentary group, on the first day of the parliament, the first day that the president of the parliament was elected. As the oldest deputy, I had the duty to open the parliament. It was Berisha, but since we had won the elections, he refused and I opened it. When I invited the chairman to take his place, I went down to the hall and told my friends that I am not running anymore. Why did they say? Because if I run for you again, I will have to open the next parliament again, and I don't like opening the parliament twice. I opened it once. What are you going to do, they said? I will deal with literature.

This is my life now, not politics. I've logged out and I'm not logging in again. I don't get tense, but by asking political questions you bring me that political feeling, politics is tense, while literature is not tense, but it is beautiful.

If it is for politics, I would publish my diary, which is 4 thousand pages long. I don't want to publish it now. "I will definitely publish it someday, but not for now," said Dokle.

The writer also spoke about the next book, where he revealed only the title: "I am writing another novel, but I cannot say anything. In respect of this interview, I am only telling you the title "10 grams of honor".
