Through a request addressed to the Assembly, 35 opposition MPs demand the establishment of a commission of inquiry into strategic investments on the coast. The request for an investigative commission comes after the majority refused for a special truck. After many months, the signatures of the PD deputies, whether of re-establishment or those who do not recognize this commission, have come together, together with the signatures of the allies.

After many months, the Democratic Party parliamentary group seems to have set aside divisions by joining firms to investigate how to implement the strategic investment law.

Democrats asked for a special commission on this issue, but this was rejected and in these conditions Gazmend Bardhi, started the procedure for collecting 35 signatures, among them MPs who are lined up alongside "Rithemelimi" officially submitting to the assembly the request for an investigative commission .

The request for the investigation of strategic investment contracts came after the denunciation that families of ministers or officials of the socialist party are benefiting from public property of tens of millions of euros. The Law on Strategic Investments was transformed by the Government into a law on the abuse of public property.

Democrats in the request emphasize that the purpose of the commission will be in-depth verification of the practices followed by the Strategic Investment Committee and other institutions for granting the status of strategic investor.

Opposition MPs in the request list the accusations and appeared in the media and for this refer to the case allegations of the socialist member of the Tirana Municipal Council, Gazmend Paja, the family of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, who have gained the status of "strategic investor" and the right to use the sea shores. The object of the investigation is also required to be the problematic with the decisions given in the protected areas.

PD MP Gazmend Bardhi says, among other things, that Albanians will see how public property is being "distributed to the family of the ministers, to the friends of Edi Rama and to a handful of oligarchs near him".

"The law on strategic investments was transformed by the Government into a law on the abuse of public assets. Together with a group of colleagues we submitted today the request for the establishment of an investigative commission to control the implementation of the law on strategic investments. "Albanians will see how public property is being distributed to the families of the ministers, to the friends of Edi Rama and to a handful of oligarchs near him", says Bardhi.
