Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti announced that he had a conversation with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on the sidelines of the Berlin Process Summit.

In a post on social media, the head of the Kosovo government said that direct investments from Germany in Kosovo are around 1.5 billion euros, with 62 of them in the last five years alone.

"In this process, we have signed agreements on travel with an ID card and on the recognition of diplomas, and we have implemented them all. Everyone should do the same, because no one can hold the region hostage. Direct investments from Germany in Kosovo are about 1.5 billion euros, 62% of them in the last five years alone.

The potential in industry, energy, transport, ICT and vocational education remains great, and next week Pristina welcomes the third German-Kosovar Economic Forum. Germany is part of our European future. Thank you, Chancellor Merz!” Kurti wrote on Facebook.
