Minister Kumbara reacts to the Potami tragedy

KELCYRË / PÉRMET / THREE BRIDGES – Following the indisputable success as Minister of Culture during the last mandate of the Rama government, the Minister of Tourism and Environment Ndrikulla Kumbara again took the front pages of the world media in recent days, promoting on her Facebook the nam jam of Këlcyra.

“Rikthehemi tek reçeli me petale trëndafili i Sofikës. Vetëm kështu dita nis mbarë”, shkroi ministrja, duke bërë që asnjë shqiptari të mos i shkonte më në mendje aksidenti qesharak në plazhin e Potamit në Himarë, me të cilin po merren autoritetet përkatëse ndaj dhe njerëzit duhet të shpërndahen dhe të shikojnë punën e tyre.

Zonja Kumbara ndërkaq nuk ngurroi t’u përgjigjej edhe akuzave të lodhura të disave, që pretendojnë se agjencitë nën autoritetin e Ministrisë së saj nuk kanë kryer kontrollin e bregdetit siç parashikon ligji, duke i dhënë një dorë grirjes me helika skafi të një fëmije 7 vjeçe, e cila pikësëpari nuk duhej të ndodhej fare aty, buzë ujit.

The leader of the department that takes care of the environment and tourism throughout the territory of the Republic, has always been on top of her duties, even when her colleagues in the government have given her a break.

Mrs. Kumbara has on many occasions promoted the Buali pickles, the Këlcyra compotes, the Petran fritters, or the famous Frashëri dishes, a name that reminded the minister of something cultural and patriotic, but that she was not thinking of now .

In the relentless promotion of Albanian tourism and the environment, the minister did not hesitate to go to the Tre Ura border point, when she wrote on Facebook that the pies made in Tre Urat compete with the pies of Kakavija. One day Ndrikulla Kumbara even dared to cross the border of Përmet, promoting the handicrafts and dishes of Libohova.  

"The dishes of Libohova are finger-licking, they almost compete with those of Përmet," declared Kumbara, "there is only one small problem. There is no one to eat them because all the residents have fled, they have gone to Këlcyre for a better life".

Brave and courageous reactions were made by the Minister even earlier, when they asked her if Butrinti will be granted with a concession.

"There is no concession, but a foundation created by the Ministry of Culture, which will be managed by a board of 5 people, one of whom is appointed by the ministry. Don't spread smoke in vain.
