"A turning point in American history". This is how the Republican candidate Donald Trump described the November 5 presidential elections in the USA, even warning of the "massacre" that according to him the American economy will suffer if he does not emerge victorious in the confrontation with the Democratic President Joe Biden.
"November 5 will be the most important date in the history of our country," said the former US president during the first electoral meeting, which was held in Vandelia, Ohio, 4 days after securing the nomination of the Republican party.
Moreover, he painted an extremely dark and dystopian vision for the nation should he lose to Biden once again this fall.
Describing his rival as an "incompetent guy", Trump emphasized that the time period until the election seems like an "eternity", when he sees how Biden is leading the country towards the abyss.
"If I don't get elected, it will be a massacre for everyone - that will be the least. It will be a massacre for the country," he said.
Complaining about China's construction of auto manufacturing plants in Mexico, Trump said that if he returns to the White House, he will impose massive tariffs on any Chinese-made vehicle imported into the United States.
"Let me say something to China. If you're listening to me President XI, you and I are friends, but you understand the way I operate. We will place a 100 percent fee on every single car that comes online. You won't be able to sell those cars if I'm elected!” Trump said.
Based on the tone in which Trump introduced himself to the Ohio electorate, Joe Biden's campaign leaders said that "he wants another January 6," referring to the attack on Capitol Hill in 2021.
"But the American people will hand him another election loss in November because they continue to reject his extremism, his penchant for violence, and his thirst for revenge," their response continued.
