Yulia Navalnaya , the widow of Alexei Navalny , the former leader of the Russian opposition who died in a prison in Siberia, has accused Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban of being an accomplice of Russian President  Vladimir Putin .

Her accusations came in a video message released in Budapest, the Hungarian capital where a major opposition protest was taking place, organized by the capital's mayor Gergeley Karacsony .

"Besides Orbani, there are other supporters of Putin in Europe," Navalnaya said, adding that the Russian president dared to attack Ukraine because he knew there would be help in Europe. But just as Putin does not represent all of Russia, so "Orbán does not speak for all Hungarians," she underlined.

After Navalny's death last month, Orbán and his Fidesz party did not want to pay tribute to him.

When opposition MPs asked everyone to stand and observe a minute's silence in honor of the Russian dissident, Fidesz MPs remained seated.
