Bavarian police remove their pants in protest

Bavarian police remove their trousers in protest over shortages and delays in equipping them with uniforms.

Police officers in the state of Bavaria have chosen a humorous and cheeky way to draw attention and protest the long waits for uniforms. Cops and cops posted a video of them taking off their pants.

According to the police union, police officers have been waiting for several months for 21 different items of clothing that make up the uniform, such as hats, jackets or pants. It is not even clear whether they are available or not.

The Police Union asks the state government to solve the problem immediately, even if it means more costs.

Land government representatives said the delays were caused by disruptions in the supply chain, DW reports.
