The Basic Court in Prishtina has sentenced the accused Hysri Peqani, known as Burdushi, to imprisonment and a fine for the criminal offenses of "Continuous illegal exercise of medical or pharmaceutical activity", "Continuous fraud", "Keeping ownership, control or possession of unauthorized weapons" and "Money laundering". In addition, Burdushi's property worth over 2 million euros will be confiscated.

The Kosovar media report that Burdushi was found guilty and was sentenced to a single sentence of imprisonment for a duration of 4 years and 6 months, as well as a single sentence of a fine of 42,000 euros, which the accused is obliged to pay within 15 days from the day this judgment becomes final.

The court announces that the time spent under the measure of detention is counted in the imposed prison sentence. The Court also announces that the confiscation of his property worth more than 2 million euros will take place.

"Movable and immovable property obtained through the criminal offense Illegal exercise of medical or pharmaceutical activity in continuation of article 262 paragraph 1 in relation to article 81 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo, in a total value of 2,528,715.34 euros , are confiscated", the court announces.

Also, in accordance with article 374 paragraph 3 of the KPRK, the mother and a pistol of the type "Girsan" of caliber 9mm, with two magazines and 166 cartridges of the same caliber, as well as a hunting rifle of the type " Super Campion'' as well as 55 cartridges are confiscated.

"Injured parties related to the legal property claim are instructed in the regular civil dispute. Against this verdict, the parties have the right to appeal to the Court of Appeal of Kosovo, through the Basic Court in Pristina", the court announcement states.
