"You shouldn't have married your teacher", Macron causes laughter

An epic moment was recorded during the meeting of President Emmanuel Macron with autistic journalists.

French President Emmanuel Macron was surprised during a discussion with journalists from La Papotin, a medium founded in 1990 in a day center in Paris for young people living with autism.

What got attention and went viral had to do with Macron's relationship with his wife Brigitte.

"He is the president. He should set an example and not marry his teacher", was the comment that was read by the president himself.

Brigitte Macron was a mother of three and 24 years older than Emmanuel when they met at the high school where he was a student and she was a teacher before eventually marrying in 2007.

Macron chose to answer by saying: “You can't choose who you fall in love with. She wasn't my teacher, she taught me how to act."
