Ilias Kasidiaris as "Don Corleone"

The Prosecutor of the Greek Supreme Court, Georgija Adelini , has ordered a criminal report for electoral fraud against 11 deputies who in the last parliamentary elections represented the far-right party Spartans, as well as against one of the leaders of the Golden Dawn, sentenced to removal freedom, Ilias Kasidiaris.

The only one not prosecuted is the head of this party, Vasilios Stiga.

The criminal report came after an investigation and public denunciation that Mr. Stiga a few months ago about behind-the-scenes and illegal actions in his party, describing the deputies as the Greek mafia and Ilias Kasidiaris as "Don Corleone".

According to him, the 11 deputies of his parliamentary group have deceived the Greek voters, participating in this party, but meanwhile they were directly influenced by the convicted neo-Nazi of the Golden Dawn, Ilias Kasidhiaris.

As it emerged from the investigation personally conducted by the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Kasidiaris is ordered to be prosecuted as the moral author of the fraud of the electorate, as it turned out that he was the real head of the Spartans party, leading and decisively contributing to its entry into parliament and in the election of deputies to the Parliament.

His criminal prosecution was based on the existence of evidence that he had constant contacts from prison with Spartans' parliamentary candidates and that he had taken over their leadership and political support.

At the same time, Mrs. Adeilini also ordered the criminal prosecution of the lawyer Sotirios Metaxas, as he has participated, as the investigation revealed, in the contacts of Ilias Kasidiaris with the candidates and then with the deputies of the party in question.

This development could bring big changes in the political scene of the country in that the deputies are judged and considered guilty for the legitimacy of participating in the parliament as members of the Spartan party.

There is a possibility with the decision of the Electoral Court to cancel their election and in this case the scenario of sharing their parliamentary mandates with other parties is also considered very possible.
