Despite the criticism directed at him by President Emanuel Macron, Prime Minister Albin Kurti considers France a very important ally and partner.

He said that they want close cooperation and international support, including from Paris in terms of the rule of law, and security for citizens.

"We rule the law, public order, at the same time with peace and security for all citizens without distinction, and in this respect we want close cooperation and international support, including France, which we consider a very important friend, ally and partner in the European Union and NATO", said Kurti.

Macron was not the only one to criticize what he called the unilateral actions of the Kosovo government on Thursday. Similar messages came from NATO's assistant secretary general for operations, Thomas Goffus, and Germany's envoy for the Balkans, Manuel Sarrazin, during a diplomatic outburst in Pristina.

Referring to the opening of the bridge over the Iber River, Goffus warned that "uncoordinated actions may increase the risk of violence, which threatens the security of all people in the country and endangers KFOR troops.

"The addition of military troops, necessary at the moment, is not a solution for a long-term peace in Kosovo. The solution is political. It is essential that both Pristina and Belgrade engage constructively in the EU-facilitated dialogue to resolve the remaining issues. We continue to call on all parties to implement the agreements reached without delay", said Goffus.

The envoy of the German government for the Balkans, Manuel Sarrazin, also spoke in Pristina about political solutions and compromises between Pristina and Belgrade, who, on the same day as the NATO admiral, met Kosovo President Osmani and Prime Minister Kurti. Sarrazin, in a statement to the media, expressed his concern, as he said "with the lack of readiness for compromises".
