According to the agenda, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo with a delegation will be received at the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic by the Minister for European Affairs, while after the meetings there will be a joint press conference.
Otherwise, yesterday the heads of state, President Vjosa Osmani, Speaker of the Assembly, Glauk Konjufca and Prime Minister Albin Kurti signed Kosovo's application for membership in the European Union. The heads of state have appreciated this as a historic day and as a movement towards the realization of the eternal dream of the people of Kosovo.
Kosovo so far has only one contractual agreement with the EU, namely the Stabilization and Association Agreement.
Of the 27 member states of the bloc, five of them still do not recognize Kosovo's independence.
The non-recognizing states are: Spain, Romania, Cyprus, Greece and Slovakia.
From the states of the Western Balkans region, Serbia and Montenegro are the two states that have made the most progress towards membership in the bloc, having so far opened several chapters in the membership talks.
During this year, North Macedonia and Albania started the negotiation process, while Bosnia and Herzegovina received the status of a candidate country this week.
Kosovo is also the only country that does not have visa liberalization with the EU
