Albin Kurti returned to the idea of ??a coalition with the LDK, unmoved by its rejections.

The acting Prime Minister of Kosovo underlined that together with the Democratic League of Kosovo and the three mandates of the Initiative, they could make up 80 MPs in parliament.

"I have offered the LDK the opportunity for a coalition, because I consider it the closest to co-government, in terms of orientations and experiences, but also in terms of our electorates. I say that this would be the right coalition. Vetëvendosje plus LDK, plus non-Serb minorities, would become seventy-seven deputies. We are 57, and 20 from LDK would make us 77. Even if we add three from Nisma, we would make us 80. Even for international agreements, we believe that this is the right way forward. I am not for solutions with technical governments, transitional governments, which leave Kosovo without an opposition."

Earlier, Kurti insisted that Albulena Haxhiu's candidacy for Speaker of the Kosovo Assembly is a party decision and will not be withdrawn, while expressing his readiness for a compromise for the government.

Haxhiu is considered a divisive figure by two parliamentary parties: the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, which are demanding that the LVV nominate another name for Speaker of the Assembly.
