'I'll take your granddaughter as a bride or I'll kill you',

The murder of a 46-year-old man and the attempt to kidnap a minor girl have made the situation tense in the village of Drosero Xanthi.

The cause is a 37-year-old man who wants to marry his 17-year-old son to the 15-year-old girl, the victim's granddaughter.

Residents of the area have given their testimonies, saying that 4 months before the serious incident, he had threatened to commit murder.  

" I want your niece for my son or I will execute her. I will take the bullets and kill you", the author of the murder is said to have said. The family members of the victim, according to the local media, threaten to commit suicide if justice is not established for the murder of their loved one.

It is suspected that the reason for this murder was an agreement to 'marry' the granddaughter with the 17-year-old son of the perpetrator of the crime. It is said that the author had previously given the victim 6,000 euros for this 'little bit '.

The situation in the village is tense. On Monday, a house and two other huts were burned, while on Tuesday, unknown persons set fire to another shack and a two-story house that was damaged by fire. 

Two luxury cars of the 37-year-old arrested were also set on fire. Authorities are standing by.
