It's not a meme, it's reality! The footage below shows French citizens enjoying their meal in a restaurant while outside (the footage was shot in Lyon) it is set ablaze by protests.
Protests continue against Macron, who passed a law raising the retirement age from 62 to 64. Last Thursday, Macron invoked Article 49.3 of the French Constitution, bypassing a vote in the National Assembly to approve the law, as is usually the case. This resulted in two motions of no confidence in the government, but was 9 short of the majority needed to oust Macron from power.
Since then, every night protesters have taken to the streets bringing thousands of arrests. The crowd so far seems uncontrollable, even going so far as to make extreme calls.
"We beheaded Louis the 16th, so Macron, we can do it again," shouted young people in Paris, Toulouse and Lille.
But apparently not everyone is of that opinion...some like to enjoy a good meal at a restaurant.
