As time is running out for the ceasefire announced between the US and Israel with Iran, there is still no confirmation of further peace talks.

The speaker of the Iranian parliament posted on X saying that Iran "has been preparing to show new cards on the battlefield" over the past two weeks and that it "will not accept negotiations under the shadow of threats."

"Trump, by imposing the blockade and violating the ceasefire, aims, according to him, to turn this negotiating table into a surrender table or to justify a new wave of military provocations. We do not accept negotiations under the shadow of threats and over the past two weeks we have been preparing to reveal new cards on the battlefield," said Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf.

This is a response to President Donald Trump's statement that "without a deal by Wednesday, we will resume attacks."

A little while ago, Trump posted on Truth Social, referring to the recovery of enriched uranium from Iran.

“Operation Midnight Hammer was a complete and total destruction of Iran’s nuclear facilities. Therefore, its removal will be a long and difficult process,” the president wrote.
Operation Midnight Hammer is the code name for an operation conducted by the U.S. last June, during which 125 American military aircraft struck three Iranian nuclear facilities: Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan.

The president then attacked media outlets like CNN, writing:

“Fake News CNN and other corrupt media networks and platforms do not give our great airmen their due, always trying to belittle and devalue them – losers!!!”
Meanwhile, he has denied he is under pressure to reach a deal, while US media reports that Vice President JD Vance is traveling to Pakistan. Trump adds that it is “highly unlikely” that the two-week ceasefire between the US and Iran, which expires on Wednesday, will be extended.

In the Persian Gulf, the US continues to block the Strait of Hormuz after seizing an Iranian-flagged cargo ship on Sunday, and both sides accuse each other of violating the ceasefire.

Meanwhile, a second round of talks between Israel and Lebanon is expected to take place on Thursday, according to a US official.
