Congressman Robert Aderholt also expressed concern about the situation in Albania, demanding that all parties reject violence and that the government guarantee respect for the rights of citizens participating in peaceful protests.
"The Albanian people deserve the rule of law, accountable institutions, and the freedom to make their voices heard. All parties must reject violence and the government must respect the rights of peaceful protesters ," Aderholt declared.
In his reaction, Aderholt also focused on the role of young people, emphasizing that they should have the opportunity to influence the direction Albania will take.
Both representatives conveyed the message that avoiding violence, protecting democratic freedoms, and guaranteeing citizens' right to be heard are essential for the functioning of democratic institutions and for the future of Albania.
