As all attention has shifted to the war in Iran , some shocking testimonies have come from widowed women in Gaza who are reportedly being raped almost daily by a group of Hamas militants.
In accounts given to the Daily Mail , women and men of Gaza living under Hamas rule have recounted the moments of horror that women have long been experiencing.
It is learned that the latter have also taken advantage of opportunities to come to the aid of Gaza residents, whom they are said to have raped.
While they have been continuing shameful acts against women for a long time, no one has had the courage to speak out about this situation.
In good faith to protect their identification from the Daily Mail, residents have told more about the situation in Gaza.
"A friend's wife contacted us. She had asked a Qassam Brigades commander to help her, but he took advantage of her," a man originally from Gaza told the Daily Mail.
" His behavior is shameful. We investigated the matter and found him in a tent in the Gharabli area where a group of Qassam members were taking advantage of him. We informed the leadership, but they told us to keep quiet about it, " the resident added.
Another Gaza resident confirmed that a similar episode occurred with one of his neighbors, who was blackmailed by “a Hamas charity.” He said they wanted her killed in exchange for a food package or an aid voucher.
Another man, who identified himself as a member of the Qassam Brigades, confirmed that this was the current situation with the widows.
He said he had told the leadership that some Qassam members were taking advantage of the 'wives of martyrs' in a tent in the Gharabli area, which is located in Deir al-Balah.
He said he was ordered to keep his mouth shut.
"We told them it was an insult to our honor and dignity," the resident said.
The shocking evidence comes amid wider allegations of sexual violence in the conflict, including accounts made by multiple Israeli hostages, including Arbel Yehoud, who revealed she was raped daily during her captivity while held in tents after being kidnapped on October 7, 2023.
On the other hand, Hamas, which is rejecting the disarmament proposals in the ceasefire agreement, is continuing to rule the country with an iron fist./ DailyMail
