United States President Donald Trump declared that "a lot of bombs will go off" in Iran if a deal is not reached by Wednesday evening, when a ceasefire reached two weeks ago expires.
In an interview with PBS News, Trump said he was not sure whether Iran was still participating in the talks in Pakistan.
"They should be there. We agreed to be there, even though they say they won't. Everything was organized. We'll see if it happens. If they're not there, that's okay too," he was quoted as saying.
Earlier, Trump had stated that United States Vice President JD Vance was heading to Islamabad to participate in the talks.
Meanwhile, journalist Maria Bartiromo said on Fox News that Trump had told her that "a deal will be signed tonight."
