Moscow has reacted after Germany gave the Ukrainian military permission to use German "Taurus" missiles to fire deep into Russian territory.

"If Germany supplies Ukraine with Taurus long-range missiles, they will burn like matches, as happened with Leopard tanks, and Berlin will sink deeper into the hole in which the Kiev regime it supports has long been," said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zakharova.

Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dimitry Peskov warned of delays and postponements in the ceasefire process.

"The peace process is complex and, of course, takes time," he said.
