Hamas responds positively to Biden's plan, but Netanyahu has other plans:

This little girl waits for peace… but the light of hope quickly faded. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blocks the 3-phase plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip, confirming that his conditions for lowering the arms have not changed.

"Our conditions are: the destruction of the military capabilities of the Hamas government, the release of all hostages and the guarantee that Gaza will never again be a threat to Israel," the office of the Prime Minister of Israel declared.

According to Biden's American plan, the first phase lasting 6 weeks will involve the withdrawal of all Israeli troops from the populated areas of Gaza and the release of a number of hostages.

If there was a stalemate, the ceasefire would continue until there were negotiations between the parties. In the second phase, the release of all the hostages would take place, while in the last one, a big plan for the reconstruction of Gaza is included.

Hamas released a statement on Biden's proposal, considering it positive. The American plan is finding a lot of support in Europe.

French President Emmanuel Macron is seeking support for Biden's proposal, while demanding that the war in Gaza end as soon as possible.

The head of the Élysée palace confirms the commitment of Paris, but also of the allies to successfully carry out the release of all hostages, the establishment of a ceasefire, in order to achieve permanent peace with the final solution with the creation of two states, the existing one of Israel and the recognition of Palestine.
