A serious event has shocked the area of ​​Ano Liosija, where the body of an elderly man was found burnt, last Friday (May 21, 2024).

The elderly man was found burned in the backyard of his house and it is suspected that the author of this incident is his son.

According to the Greek media, the elderly man died about 20 days ago, while his son confessed that the reason why he burned his father was that he had no money for the funeral.

The victim and the 59-year-old son lived in the same house.

It was the neighbors who set the authorities in motion, worried by the smell of the corpse. They also testified that they saw the 59-year-old burning something in the backyard.

The elderly man was found burned, covered by a blanket and on a mattress.

The 59-year-old worked as a teacher and it is known that he suffered from psychological problems.
