Former US President Donald Trump and 3 of his children have been sued by the New York State Attorney General.

According to the BBC, it is a question of an investigation carried out for 3 years related to the financial balances of Trump's businesses.

The lawsuit, filed in a New York state court, accuses the Trump Organization of engaging in multiple acts of fraud related to Trump's annual financial statements from 2011 to 2021.

In addition to Donald Trump, his children Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump are indicted.

In the more than 200-page lawsuit filed against him, US Attorney Letitia James alleges that the fraud involved all aspects of the Trump business, including his properties and golf courses.

According to the lawsuit, the Trump Organization defrauded lenders, insurers and tax authorities by inflating the value of his properties using fraudulent appraisals.

"These acts of fraud and misrepresentation were similar in nature, were committed by senior management in the Trump Organization as part of a concerted effort for each Annual Statement, and were approved at the highest levels of the Trump Organization, including by himself." the lawsuit says.

The former American President considers these accusations to be a politically motivated "witch hunt" and has denied any allegations.
