The death toll of Vladimir Putin's allies continues to rise, as another senior Russian official recently mysteriously passed away.
The latest victim is senior Russian aviation expert Anatoly Gerashchenko who worked as the head of the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI). Foreign media reports that he died because he fell down the stairs.
"On September 21, 2022, Anatoly Nikolaevich Gerashchenko, Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor, advisor to the rector of the Moscow Aviation Institute, passed away as a result of an accident," the organization's press service said.
The official had received Russia's Medal of the Order for Services to the Fatherland, First Class, and was a distinguished professor with more than 50 scientific publications who remained an influential adviser after his retirement in 2015.
His highly suspicious death comes less than two weeks after Vladimir Putin's point man for developing Russia's vast Arctic resources 'fell overboard' from a skiff while sailing off the country's Pacific coast and died.
