The Food and Veterinary Agency of Kosovo (AUV) has ordered the withdrawal from the market of all types of products of the brand "Wudy" (sausage, pork).

AUV has invited citizens to be careful and not to consume the products of this brand, because it is suspected that they contain some type of bacteria.

On September 21, the National Food Authority in Albania has informed citizens not to consume the products of this brand, because, as it has been said, they "present a risk with a serious impact on human health".

"AUV, immediately after receiving information from the media that in the products of the manufacturer AIA brand 'Wudy', the country of origin Italy, the presence of Listeria bacteria is suspected in some production lots, has started tracking to identify all types of products imported into Kosovo from this producer", says the response of AUV sent to Radio Free Europe.

If foods contaminated with Listeria bacteria are consumed, then symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, fever, fever and muscle aches are caused.

Meanwhile, from the border control data and the data provided by the importer-distributor for Kosovo, it has been found that some of these products of the "Wudy" brand are also found in Kosovo.

The Food and Veterinary Agency said that the order for complete withdrawal of all products from this brand is valid until another decision.
