A murder investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed to death outside Tottenham Hotspur's stadium.

London police stated the victim was found with multiple wounds caused by stabbings in the early hours of Sunday.

The fatal incident prompted a backlash for tottenham's Premier League match with Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon.

The Team Of London announced that the match would take place as planned.

"Following an incident where a person died, we do everything we can to assist the police investigation, which is of paramount importance. Our thoughts are with the victim's family and all those affected," the statement said.

"Our thoughts are with the person who tragically lost his life. I can assure local residents that special detectives are investigating the incident to identify and arrest those responsible," Chief Inspector Stephen Johnston Key said.
