President Bajram Begaj could not be used as a Trojan Horse!

Of course he could not agree to go to the Athens meeting, invited only to provoke his prime minister!

In the last two or three days, in the media, social networks, as well as in the statements of politicians, certainly in the view of many influencers of public opinion, the invitation that Prime Minister Micotaqis made to President Bajram Begaj to participate in an informal dinner has taken place in Athens, where the European perspectives of the Balkans will be discussed.

More than the invitation, which under other conditions would have been a beautiful and very valuable thing, the fact that the President of Albania, Mr. Bajram Begaj, rejected the invitation, allegedly diplomatically, attracted attention. He said he would not attend as he had another very important thing planned for dinner today!!!

I believe that the services of the Albanian Presidency will find it very difficult, after inventing this pretext, to find an activity so important for the President tonight, as to justify his absence at the dinner in Athens. I don't believe they will be able to find him no matter how hard they try. What more important thing could the President of Albania have tonight than not being able to go to a meeting where, apart from the leaders of the Balkan states, there is also the leader of the European Union, that is, participating in such an important meeting for the European future of the Balkans.

From this point of view, if the answer is only a pretext, that is, a found diplomatic reason not to go without saying bluntly why I am not coming, I think something else, smarter, wiser, more elaborate, should have been found, and not an answer that in any case does not serve the reputation of our President before our international and Balkan partners.

I am not stopping at the invitation to Mr. Kurti, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, which is certainly a positive thing. I believe that he will stay true to his idea that for Kosovo, the European perspective goes beyond the main step: Recognition of the state of Kosovo by Serbia! Otherwise, he would have refused to drink delicious Greek ouzo today, as he did with Prime Minister Rama's failed initiative for the open Balkans where he refused to drink Shlivovica. So he should not have participated.

I am not an indisputable fan of President Bajram Begaj, but I do not agree that he should be criticized for not coming to today's dinner, which, among other things, I believe will be delicious, to the sounds of Greek music, with tzatzikis, wine chosen, all the good of God! When Albania tries to open, there are those who criticize why it opened, what is this opening, where is the patriotism? When Albania does not open up as much as one or the other wants, there are those who say: We are isolating ourselves!

Let's not be like the Italian opposition now that they are dealing with who paid the 80 euros at the Guva restaurant in Berat! The Italian ambassador or Mrs. Meloni!

Presidenti Bajram Begaj bëri shumë mirë që nuk vajti në Athinë sonte, sado politika greke është shumë e rëndësishme për perspektivën evropiane të Ballkanit. Sado jemi dy vend miq me interesa të përbashkëta. Sado ne duhet të kemi një përqasje shumë miqësore, por dinjitoze, ndaj Greqisë fqinje!

Por, këtë rradhë ftesa ishte me spec, madje me spec djegës. Nuk kishte uzo sado të pastër që e ekuilibronte djegësirën e specit të kuq!

Miqtë tanë grekë, në e kishin seriozisht ftesën ndaj nesh, duhej të kishin ftuar kryeministrin Rama, jo Presidentin Begaj! Nuk është punë e tyre që te ne Presidenti në politikën e jashtme është pothuajse një spektator formal, se politika e jashtme sikurse e brendshmja është në dorë të Edit Ramës. A është mirë apo keq, apo shumë keq, kjo gjë, nuk është punë e protokollit të Presidencës greke! Ata e dinë këtë gjë, pra duhej ta respektonin. Aq më shumë që ftesën e bën kryeministri grek, zoti Micotaqis, pra atij i takonte të ftonte homologun e tij shqiptar, jo një rang më sipër se i tij. Shtoj se edhe nga vendet e tjera të Ballkanit është ftuar ose kryeministri, ose Presidenti, sikurse ai serb, po një President që ka realisht frenat e pushtetit në dorë!

Pra, ftesa greke kërkonte që të anashkalonte kryeministrin shqiptar! Mua nuk më bëhet vonë shumë për këtë gjë, sepse nuk ka pikë rëndësie një darkë informale në Athinë, por nga ana tjetër e kuptoj protokollin shqiptar që duke mos e pranuar ftesën për zotin Begaj, sigurisht e bën që Presidenti të mos përdoret si Kalë Troje, pra si mjet për të evituar kryeministrin shqiptar.

Pse është evituar kryeministri? Mbase çështja Beleri, një absurditet politik, sigurisht, mbase edhe diçka tjetër më e rëndësishme që unë kam vetëm hipoteza dhe nuk dua t’a prek këtu. Por, loja duket qartë. Ishte një presion ndaj kryeministrit Rama!

Në këtë optikë, Presidenti Bajram Begaj bëri mirë që nuk shkoi, ndonëse përgjigja që dhanë shërbimet e tij nuk e nderon aspak. Bëri mirë jo për solidaritet me kryeministrin, por për veten e vet. Si do të merrte pjesë ai në atë darkë, kur të gjithë do ta shihnin me ironi dhe buzëqeshje tallëse duke i lënë të nënkuptohej se aty ai ishte si hologramë e kryeministrit të evituar Rama. Nuk do të ishte veçse qënia në mungesë e Edi Ramës e kërkuar në mënyrë të vullnetshme nga i zoti i shtëpisë! Nuk do të ishte veçse një karrike bosh!

Do të kishte qenë një darkë e vështirë!

Ai mbrojti edhe reputacionin e Shqipërisë që sigurisht nuk mund të pranojë të trajtohet si lodër protokollesh, qoftë edhe prej miqve tanë të nderuar grekë!

Por, përsëri, them se përgjigja e Presidentit për refuzimin e ftesës ishte e gabuar. Nuk hahet.

Do të preferoja që Presidenti me etiketë dhe diplomaci të jepte një përgjigje të vërtetë se përse nuk shkon në Athinë sonte! Nuk mund të vazhdohet kështu pa folur, apo me përgjigje që e ulin reputacionin e tij në publik dhe në planin ndërkombëtar. Se edhe për ardhjen e ish presidentit Klinton, u tha se Presidenti kishte qenë pa qejf!!!

Çfarë përgjigjeje! Kështu do të vazhdojmë me përgjigje prej gjasme!

Kush e pengon Presidentin të flasë atë që është për të folur?

Pse nuk jep arsyet e vërteta të veprimeve të veta?

Kjo është delikate, shumë delikate!

Sa mund të vazhdohet kështu?

Me përgjigje për të cilat të gjithë qeshin dhe flasin pas krahëve me ironitë e tyre të hidhta!

So here is the problem. I think that the President of Albania should take care to raise his reputation, not with statements that everyone knows are pretexts. Otherwise, instead of being treated as a President by international partners, they can deepen this scandal that happened: So, treat it only as a means to avoid His Prime Minister! Even more so just as an attempt at an invitation, because the inviter himself knew that the invitation would be rejected!

That would be to grab your head with your hands, then!
