Kozma Papa, a 22-year-old who lived outside London, committed the murder of his compatriot Bledi Petraj, 37, on February 4 this year in the Southgate area of ??northeast London after both the killer and the victim knew each other and had had a physical altercation earlier in a cafe.
But the court heard that 45 minutes later the two had gone to another area of ??London, each carrying large knives with them.
The two, according to the prosecutor in the case, were pointing at each other, until the victim Bledi Petraj lost control of the knife and the killer, Kozma Papa, grabbed the knife and with two knives in his hands, after the victim had fallen to the ground, he stabbed the victim 13 times continuously. Although he was found alive by the ambulance, he was unable to save him and died a few hours later in the hospital on the afternoon of February 4 of this year.
For this crime, Kozma Papa was sentenced to life imprisonment.
But the Central Magistrates' Court in London is asking for the Pope to serve a minimum of 20 years in prison.
The perpetrator of the murder was caught by the police while driving away outside London and admitted to committing the murder.
There have been dozens of cases of Albanian murders over the years in Britain, for reasons ranging from botched drug deals to weak motives.
But Metropolitan Police investigators in this case do not specify the real cause and motive that led to the physical confrontation that resulted in the loss of life of 37-year-old Bledi Petraj, a resident of London.
Detective Chief Inspector Mathew Goode said: " We express our condolences to Bledi's family and loved ones who are mourning his death. We were dealing with a physical altercation that ended in a senseless loss of life and Papa will serve an extremely long time behind bars ."
