
The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) and the Special Prosecution Office of Kosovo will establish joint investigative teams for criminal cases.
The agreement to create joint investigative teams was signed today in Pristina during a meeting between the delegations of Albania and Kosovo.
The SPAK team was headed by Klodjan Braho, and consisted of the former head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, as well as the prosecutor at EUROJUST, Fatjona Memçaj.
The Kosovo delegation was led by the Acting Chief State Prosecutor, Agron Qalaj, accompanied by prosecutors in the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor, Aleksandër Lumezi, and Laura Pula, as well as by the Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution, Blerim Isufaj.
During the conversation, both sides confirmed the joint institutional commitment to strengthening the rule of law on both sides of the border, and discussed increasing the level of cooperation, coordination and efficiency in the fight against crime in both countries.
The focus was also on cooperation between the two prosecutors' offices on criminal investigations and issues affecting both countries.
