The country's Prime Minister, Edi Rama, in his speech to the SP group, after the hearing with the rector of UBT, Fatbardh Sallaku, stated that he has several suggestions for SPAK prosecutors.
Rama asked them to do their job and fight corruption, but only if they have evidence.
Their duty, Rama said, is to put the guilty in prison and not traumatize the innocent.
Rama: I have a suggestion for SPAK prosecutors. Instead of dealing with my statements, they should do their job, they have all our support to listen to what we say as criticism. For me and the SP SPAK Special Court, they live 1000 years, they don't feel bad and they don't get any concern from us. They shouldn't supply the nation with investigative secrets, they shouldn't become editors of newspapers, portals, channels. And they should do their job.
Whenever, wherever they catch corruption, they should open their arms with all their might. Yes, corruption, amen. We have established it as a very powerful weapon to fight corruption, with evidence, with regular processes, with respect for human rights and freedoms. What they must guarantee is that the guilty go to prison and the innocent are not traumatized for life.
