At the Presidency of the Assembly, the hearing of the Socialist Party parliamentary group with the rector of the Agricultural University, Fatbardh Sallaku, has begun.
In his speech, Sallaku said that he learned about the news about the 24 security measures issued against members of the administration and staff of the Agricultural University of Tirana from the media.
Sallaku stated that he does not comment on the court's decision, while adding that he believes there will be a fair trial.
"I am here in the ruling majority group, it is not a coincidence, I could also appear at a press conference, but nothing should be taken out of context, I have an obligation to the academic staff, to the students, to the parents, to the partners. I want to let you know that yesterday, I also found out about it from the media, I convened the UBT academic assembly, we clarified the situation and I want to confirm the fact that we do not comment on any judicial decision. We believe that there will be a fair process. I believe that most of my lecturers belong to honest people. No process undoes the reality at UBT. Every colleague who is part of the various measures that were given yesterday, starting from yesterday, has begun the battle to clear his name", he emphasized.
