Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic has been teased by his followers on social networks, after they discovered that he had a good friendship with the notorious American rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs.
Diddy and Djokovic first went public with their friendship when the rapper arrived at the US Open in 2011 to support the Serb against Roger Federer. Djokovic, a 4-time Grand Slam champion at the time, was eager to win his first US Open title that year.
Diddy's photo from Djokovic's bench resurfaced on social media as news of the rapper's arrest broke. The Serbian also posted a tweet thanking Diddy for his support and adding how his team found the rapper 'cool'.
On Monday, Diddy was arrested by federal agents in New York following lawsuits accusing him of sexual abuse and trafficking for prostitution. After the arrest, fans decided to revisit this post from 13 years ago and suggested that Djokovic should now 'delete' it.
After the semi-final match of the 2011 US Open, Djokovic, in a press conference, had admitted that he had known Diddy before. He has shown that he met the rapper at a party and felt very good that the latter was a fan for him.
“Well, it was great to have him there. We met at a party that I can't talk about in detail. It was fun, you know. He is definitely a big star in show business, and he is a very successful character and man. So it was great to have him there. I think it was very interesting the way he supported me," Novak said at the press conference.
We remember that Diddy is accused of organizing debauched parties where he invited VIP personalities and "feasted" them with drugs and alcohol, while also offering them sexual services from "sex slaves", sometimes even homosexual relations, according to allusions.
