Turkish singer and director Metin Arolat died during his performance in Kozyatagi, local media reported.
He was 52 years old.
Although he felt pain and numbness in his hand, he continued the performance, but suffered a heart attack.
"My left arm is numb," he said just before collapsing.
A nurse from the audience rushed to help him and called an ambulance.
Despite the intervention of the ambulance and efforts to save him, Arolat died on the way to the hospital.
His close friend Demet Sagiroglu made a statement to the media outside the hospital and revealed that he suspected his health had been affected by the diet.
"He was a very close friend of mine, like a brother. He was on a diet... It got worse after he came on stage,” she said.
In addition to singing, Arolat was known for his work behind the camera and collaborated with many Turkish artists.
