From Shkodra to Korça, protests spread across the country

Citizens come out in Shkodra, Korca, Pogradec, Elbasan, Fier and Gjirokastra with calls against the project and the political class

This Sunday, protests against the project in Zvërnec have spread to several cities, in addition to Tirana, including Shkodra, Korça, Pogradec, Elbasan, Fier and Gjirokastra.

In Shkodra, citizens of all ages, including youth and children, joined the rally, holding banners with messages against the political system and calling for constitutional changes. The protesters continued with slogans demanding more support and civic participation.

In Korça and Pogradec, citizens marched with banners against the political class and the influence of oligarchs. Among the banners were symbolic messages about protecting the environment and opposing large projects in sensitive areas.

In Elbasan, this is the third consecutive day of protests, where citizens marched on the city's main boulevard and gathered in the center with banners in their hands, continuing their demands against government policies.

In Fier, protests have entered their fourth consecutive day, with citizens raising concerns about local problems, including the closure of the Ballsh plant and the condition of the Darëzeza coast, which they consider to be endangered by private interests.

Meanwhile, in Gjirokastra, dozens of citizens gathered in a solidarity rally, joining the protests taking place in several cities across the country.

Protests across the country are continuing in parallel with those in the capital, with similar demands for political change and opposition to the Zvërnec project.
