Elbasan police have detained Aurel Mehjan, the son-in-law of the late former mayor Qazim Sejdini.

As reported, Mehaj has been detained by order of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of Elbasan on the charge of "Threat due to duty" of an Elbasan police officer.

Mehaj was arrested after threatening to hit a police officer with his car in the city of Elbasan while the "Summer Day" Cycling Cup was taking place.

According to official sources, the incident occurred on the main boulevard of Elbasan, while the police are currently conducting investigative actions.

Aurel Mehja, an entrepreneur in Elbasan, is the son-in-law of the late former mayor of Elbasan, Qazim Sejdin. Mehja has been appointed as the Cabinet Director of the Elbasan District Council for several weeks.
