SPAK closes the investigations and sends the Democratic MP to TRIAL!

SPAK announcement:

The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime has completed the investigations and sent for trial criminal proceedings no. 27 of 2025, against the defendant Qani Xhafa, accused of committing the criminal offense of "Irregular Driving of Vehicles", provided for by Article 291 of the Criminal Code.

From the entirety of the investigative actions, it has resulted that on March 11, 2023, the defendant Qani Xhafa, currently a Member of Parliament in the Albanian Parliament, while driving a Toyota vehicle with license plates AB 457 IJ while intoxicated, on “Qemal Stafa” Boulevard, Elbasan, lost control and went off the road, colliding with a street lighting pole. The accident caused minor material damage.

The defendant Qani Xhafa has held the position of Deputy in the Parliament of Albania since May 19, 2023.
