Small boats and fishing boats should not go out to sea, due to the worsening weather with waves that will reach up to 2.5 meters in height, announces the Captaincy of Vlora.

According to the announcement, the improvement of the worsening meteorological situation in the bay of Vlora and outside it for small boats and fishing will be after September 18.

In the port of Durrës, there were no navigational blockages of large vessels. The ferries have entered and left the port since 6:30 a.m. Even in Durrës, as in Vlora, the fishermen have not gone out to sea because of the bad weather.

Based on the forecast for the worsening hydrometeorological situation in the bay of Vlora and outside it for the date 17-18 September 2022 from 01:00 to 24:00 in the direction South-Southwest in the force of 5-6bft, 1.00-1.50m in in the bay of Vlora and outside the bay of Vlora in the force 6-7bft to 8bft 15-20m/s and wave height from 1.50 to 2.50 meters.

1. IT IS PROHIBITED TO GIVE DEPARTURE PERMISSIONS TO ALL SMALL NAVIGATION VESSELS, FISHING VESSELS OPERATING OUTSIDE THE GULF OF VLORAS AND TAKING MEASURES FOR THEIR SECURITY.

2. SMALL VESSELS AND FISHING VESSELS OPERATING WITHIN THE GULF OF VLORA TO TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION THE FORECASTED DETERIORATION OF CONDITIONS AND THE TAKING OF MEASURES FOR THEIR SECURITY.
