A serious event was recorded yesterday in the village of Ngraçan in Mallakstra. 63-year-old Batjan Çelaj ended his life by drinking phostoxin.
The incident was reported by the police today, where it was noted that the materials for the case were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for evaluation.
Sources indicate that Batjan Çelaj is the father of Indri Çelaj, who was killed on August 22, 2019 in Tirana.
26-year-old at that time, Indrit Çelaj worked as a technician for the assembly and repair of air conditioners and was shot in the head with a pistol bullet by the sons of the owner of the building where he was working. The banal conflict that led to the tragedy started over water leaking from the air conditioner pipe.
The two brothers Griseldo and Albano Kusi, after shooting the young man in cooperation with each other, leaving him seriously injured, threatened another worker who accompanied Indrit Çela for the repair of the air conditioner with whom they had a social relationship, asking him to accept before the authorities that he is the person who shot the 26-year-old.
The Tirana court decided to sentence Griseldo Kusi to 12 years in prison and the other brother, Albano Kusi, to two years in prison.
The young man's father apparently could not remove the pain from his heart even after three years, tragically ending his life.
At that time, Batjan Çelaj was extremely saddened by the murder of his son, whom he considered an exemplary son.
"What happened to me should not happen to anyone. This is a big disaster in Albania. You go to work and come back dead is a disaster. I found out from the newspapers. Çuni was killed at 11 in the morning, I found out at 7 at dinner because they had also taken the documents. Chu was taken by the police. The boy was at work, he was working with air conditioners because he finished the electrical work. He was installing air conditioners. The boy had no conflicts, he was cultured and polite. You rarely find a boy like him, he didn't know how to offend, he was discreet. My son was taken from me at a young age. At the beginning of September, we were going to have a buffet. When I went to the hospital, I just kept to myself. If I had the strength, I didn't know what I could do. Where would I go? I ask for justice, who will solve it for me..."said Batjan Çelaj about the murder of his son, Indriti.
