The mystery of the "murder" or "disappearance" of the
Ervis Martinaj

The "unraveling" of another criminal application, "Matrix" can lead to the clarification of the most sensational criminal events as well as the discovery of the "fate" of the wanted persons, whose fate is still full of mystery.

It is about the much-wanted justice, Ervis Martinaj , about whom nothing is known since August 2022.

Invited to "Abc News", criminalistics expert Ervin Karamuço said that the use of "Matrix" coincides with many sensational murders that happened in our country.

He said that Martinaj's case can be revealed through the analysis of conversations made in this application.

"Another great gift next to Sky and Encro, we're talking here that the Matrix started somewhere at the end before Sky and Encro were discovered yet. Matrix was used more for concrete things because of greater security. Who will we kill, where will we kill, etc. Matrix is at the executive level. The Martinaj case is one of the cases that can be detected through the Matrix if it has been used. The beginning of the use of the Matrix coincides with the murder of Martinaj, the assassinations and in case they had the Matrix in their possession, many serious events will be revealed. I have known for some time that Matrix has been part of these communications in money laundering and criminal acts", said Karamuço.

We recall that a joint investigative team between the French and Dutch authorities managed to discover another sophisticated encrypted messaging service, called "Matrix".

For a period of three months, the authorities were able to monitor the messages of criminals, which will be used in further investigations to "dismantle" and unravel the events and connections of criminal groups.

MATRIX, a messaging service made by criminals for criminals, was first discovered by Dutch authorities on the phone of a criminal convicted of murdering a Dutch journalist in 2021. After this discovery, a series of investigations followed.

It soon became clear that the infrastructure of this platform was technically more complex than previous platforms such as Sky ECC and EncroChat.

The founders were convinced that the service was superior and more secure than previous applications used by criminals.

Users could only join the service if they received an invitation. The infrastructure to run MATRIX consisted of more than 40 servers in several countries with important servers located in France and Germany.

Cooperation between the Dutch and French authorities started through an EPH set up at Eurojust.

Using innovative technology, authorities were able to intercept the messaging service and monitor activity on the service for three months.

More than 2.3 million messages in 33 languages were intercepted and decrypted during the investigation.
