The Court of Appeal of the Kosovo Constitutional Court upholds the seizure of Arben Ahmetaj's assets!

The appeal of the GJKKO has upheld the decision to seize two bank accounts and one apartment of former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj, who is wanted by Albanian justice.

Arben Ahmetaj, through his lawyers, had filed an appeal, but the Appeals Court upheld the first instance decision at the GJKKO.

Decision:

Complainant AA, case no. 36, act, date 30.05.2025, registration, with the object: assignment of property security measure, preventive seizure.

Submitted for review by the Constitutional Court.

The monocratic panel composed of Judge Mr. Dhimitër Lara, after reviewing the case today, 14.06.2025, decided:

Approval of decision/order n.296 act, dated 17/07/2023 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, on the property

-Apartment n., floor area 167m2, address ***, street '', ap.*, ***, registered in the ownership of zAA;

-The amount of 8,620.68 euros in the account with n.*, at *** Bank, in the name of the person under investigation zAA;

-The amount of 115,692.84 euros in deposit n., at *** Bank, with a balance of 115,692.84 euros, in the name of the person under investigation zAA
