The tragic accident that took the lives of two Egyptian citizens, Mohamed Lotf , 30, and Mohamed Ali , 44, raises questions not only about the causes of the collision, but also about how they were hired to drive a concrete mixer truck in Albania.

The two victims had arrived in our country about a month ago from Egypt, equipped with a work visa and a 1-year residence permit.

Initially, it was said that Mohamed Lotf had a driving license for a truck, while Mohamed Ali was equipped with documentation as a gas station driver.

According to the DPSHTRR, neither Mohamed Lotf nor Mohamed Ali are equipped with an Albanian driving license nor a Certificate of Professional Ability for the "Automotive Driver" profile.

VoxNews has obtained the driver's license photo of  Mohamed Lotf , 30, who was a victim of the tragic accident.

As can be seen from the photo above, the Egyptian license had also expired on (06 05 2026), so they were driving without the necessary documents on the roads of Albania.

This document is mandatory for driving special purpose vehicles, including concrete mixer trucks.

How the incident happened: 

The serious incident occurred on Wednesday at 16:20. The truck was moving on the Eastern Ring Road of Tirana, from Farka towards Tegu, when it was involved in an accident.

According to the published footage, the heavy-duty vehicle is seen entering the roundabout at high speed, initially overtaking a car driven by a 28-year-old man, and then breaking through the metal barriers and ending up under the overpass.

Meanwhile, Roland Nuri, the 28-year-old who was injured after his vehicle was hit by a truck, is out of danger. The 28-year-old suffered minor injuries, although his vehicle was completely destroyed.

The investigative body has the right to expand the investigation to include the persons responsible for recruitment and organization of work in the company ( ALBA-BETON ).

The issue takes on another dimension because one of the company's shareholders is Erjon Harizi , who also holds the position of president of the Albanian Builders' Association.

Meanwhile, the majority in terms of shares in Alba-Beton are the brothers  Artan, Adrian and Genci Dulaku , builders and media owners.
