Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted again to the protests held in Tirana.

" This is the ruin of the lives that Albanians lost for 30 seconds. They live in better, stronger homes. How can students be, how can parents' investment in their children be this ruin? This has nothing to do with students, all this fire is not student. All this hostage-taking with masks has nothing to do with the troubles, problems, aspirations of everyone who wants to be better. It is the same hand that has grabbed the Albanian opposition by the throat. That is ready to burn and destroy Albania again. A blind movement whose blindest hatred is the only light of reason. These are not students, nor are those who take the city hostage during the day students, nor are those who preach the movement, the effort, the student revolt in the evening have nothing to do with you. How can minors be taken out on the streets, how can minors be encouraged to wear masks, to tear up the sidewalks that are maintained daily with your taxes and They shoot the police. How can the lives of minors be endangered by throwing themselves on the streets for someone else's agents?

The old evil hand that has followed Albania like a curse, today is supported by other hands, foreign ones that do not want Albania to be calm, to see straight, to move forward and deal with its problems in order to improve, that do not want Albania to be part of the EU. They do not want Albania to be free to be there, together with the other peoples of the EU. Does it seem a coincidence to you that as soon as another green light opens, as soon as it gets closer to that abyss, the flame bursts here? It is not a coincidence. All of this is not a coincidence. It is a test, a test of our character and it is another step that we will take together in the face of a great obstacle that has been placed before us.

Students, entrepreneurs, all ordinary people, have the right to demand more. The problems are there, we are here to do the best we can with what we know and can, trying to learn and do more. We have brought Tirana this far. It was not time or circumstances that brought it, but persistent work. And whoever says to bow down in the face of violence for a little peace is wrong. Be patient and this too will pass, because after this passes we will emerge as we have emerged from other trials, stronger and more aware of the common challenge we face ," said Rama.
