Johan and Viola Sterjo

This Thursday, Johan Sterjo resigned from the position of the deputy mayor of Pogradec Municipality.

This decision of his has come after his sister Viola Sterjo was arrested, after she had deceived some citizens from Korça and Pogradec, taking hundreds of thousands of euros from her, being promised favors for grants through the AZHBR scheme.

Sources near the Pogradec Municipality inform that Johan Sterjo has been asked to resign after the arrest of his sister.

However, he continues to hold the post of UKT Pogradec director and the branches of the local opposition parties have asked him to resign from this post as well.
