The three victims are from the village of Maqellare in Dibra. The vehicle was driven by Kujtim Istrefi while Murat Istrefi, Lulzime Istrefi, Ferize Istrefi and Kadrie Markeçi were in that car. These last two are in the Trauma hospital where they are receiving the necessary medical treatment.

The whole family was traveling in a white 'Benz' type vehicle.

Meanwhile, Mergim Lazri and Edison Lazri were in the 'Benz' type car with English license plates.

This road is also used by young people as a racing track because it is about 2 kilometers of straight road that is used for racing.

Circumstances of the accident:

The white Benz type vehicle was traveling from the village of Gjorica at the entrance to the main road. While the vehicle with English license plates was traveling from Maqellara in the direction of Tirana at a speed exceeding the permitted norms. This is where the fatal collision took place, where the vehicle with English license plates was dragged for about 100 meters, dividing it into two parts and causing the immediate death of three members of the Istrefi family.
