UEFA punishes Albania after the events in the match against Poland. The discipline and ethics commission fined the federation 44,000 euros.

30,000 euros for lighting flares by fans, throwing things on the field and acts damaging the match with Poland.

Another 14 thousand euros fine was imposed for the poor organization of the match, related to the blocking of public roads.

There have been criticisms for not providing the minimum medical requirements, but also for not implementing a proper ticket allocation strategy and for unauthorized media on the field.

UEFA has also decided to close the northern and southern sectors of the Arena Kombëtare stadium, more precisely the stands behind the gates. This decision has been put on hold, meaning the stands will not be effectively closed for the October 12 clash with the Czech Republic.

This penalty will automatically come into effect if the recorded episodes are repeated during a 2-year period.

These are harsh punishments by UEFA against Albania, which, in addition to monetary losses, is now in serious danger of losing the support of the most ardent fans.
