Louise Gega, Europe's youngest athletics champion in the 3000m hurdles race, still retains the emotions of the final the night before. In an interview with Report TV, with journalist Mehmed Hitaj, she said she feels very happy about this achievement and very proud to represent Albania.

'It was a very big emotion! The main competitors were very prepared and I studied them and tried to run a tactical race. I followed the coach's advice all along. He helped me through all the laps to get to that finish line faster than the others. Medal and position is important! I feel very happy and very valued and I am very proud to be Albanian and to represent this nation! We may have tougher things than developed states, but anyway and why in trouble if you really love what you do and are patient you can do it! I'm so proud. There are states that come with 30 athletes and don't get gold medals. I have felt very appreciated by the comments of foreign states. I still have my emotions. I'm better than I've ever been.

Louise Gega is today the European champion, but she claims the results could be much higher if conditions were normal.

"The coach has to do the physiotherapist, the messageman because it's impossible to have them with me when I go to the collection centres that are mainly in the mountains. I can't pay them so this part complements the coach," she said.
